
Servers
Cama Beach Cafe, located at 1880 SW Camano Dr., on Camano Island, WA, is looking for experienced servers to join its strong team. Our ideal candidates are ambitious, hard-working self-starters.
Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating their section.

Communicates with front and back-of-house team members to provide our guests an excellent and memorable dining experience.

Describes and suggests menu items and beverages, including specials, soup, quiche, pie of day, etc.

Takes and processes guest orders and ensures that all items are properly prepared and served in a timely fashion. Expedites food orders or oversees this task.

Facilitates the entire guest experience, from the time they are seated through departure. This includes overseeing all food and beverages ordered by guests, ensuring guest satisfaction, and responding to additional requests.

As appropriate, relay messages to managers, cooks, hosts, baristas, or other staff.

Answers the telephone, addresses guest questions, and helps with to-go orders (both at the counter and on the phone).

Bus and reset tables, pre-bus tables, and refilling guest beverages such as drip coffee, water, etc., as well as assisting guests with their needs as a team player with hosts/hostesses/bussers/server assistants (we all work together)
Qualifications

Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Must speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other Team Members.

Must possess excellent guest relations skills.

A minimum of one year of prior experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant is required. The ability to memorize menu items is also helpful.

Can start in other positions and work to be promoted in-house to a server position if no prior experience (this can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months depending on your age, business needs and server positions available)

Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry bus tubs, dish racks, and trash cans/bags weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent and regular basis. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to converse with guests in a warm, friendly, gracious manner. Must enjoy guest service, have excellent organization skills, and a sense of timing.

Minimum age of 18 to be able to serve beer & wine (Class 12 or 13 MAST Permit required)
Hours

16-32 hours per week (2 to 5 days per week)

Days needed: Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, & Sun (requires a minimum of one Sat or Sun availability per week)
