Cama Beach Cafe, located at 1880 SW Camano Dr., on Camano Island, WA, seeks kitchen prep help to join its strong team. Our ideal candidates are ambitious and hard-working self-starters.
 

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations - Prepare ingredients for the current or next shift.

• Responsible for the food production of assigned prep items.

• Ensures all foods are produced in strict adherence to recipes.

• Maintaining a clean, sanitary work area.

• Response for safe handling and proper storage of food products. Follow health and safety guidelines

• Some dishwashing duties

 

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but prior kitchen prep experience is welcome!

• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry large bags, boxes, and trash cans/bags weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and regularly. Must be able to stand for extended periods

• Ability to listen and communicate effectively

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. On kitchen prep days when the cafe is not open, there isn't guest interaction, but on days the cafe is open, must be able to converse with guests in a warm, friendly, gracious manner. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations. Must enjoy guest service, have excellent organization skills, and have a great sense of timing.

 

Hours

• 16-32 hours per week (2 to 5 days per week)

• Days needed: Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, & Sun (requires a minimum of one Sat or Sun availability per week)

 

Wages & Benefits

• $17.00 - $19.00/hr (depending on experience)
