Bussers-Server Assistants

Cama Beach Cafe, located at 1880 SW Camano Dr., on Camano Island, WA, is looking for bussers/server assistants to join its strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is ambitious and hard-working.
 

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with and assists food servers, hosts/hostesses to maintain high-efficiency service.

  • Ensures satisfaction and well-being of all guests.

  • Maintains cleanliness and restocks front-of-house areas.

  • Serves water and provides refills as necessary.

  • Clears dishes and utensils between courses and replaces dishes and utensils after guests leave.

  • May also assist servers in pouring hot beverages, such as coffee or tea.

  • Bus and reset tables, pre-bus tables, and refilling guest beverages such as drip coffee, water, etc., as well as assisting guests with their needs or passing guest requests onto the server

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.  

  • Must speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other Team Members.

  • Must possess excellent guest relations skills.

  • No previous experience required, but we typically start staff as dishwashers and then train them as bussers/server assistants later. Previous bussing experience is welcome!

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry bus tubs, dish racks, and trash cans/bags weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent and regular basis. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to converse with guests in a warm, friendly, gracious manner. Must enjoy guest service, have excellent organization skills, and a sense of timing.

 

Hours

  • 16-32 hours per week (2 to 5 days per week)

  • Days needed: Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, & Sun (requires a minimum of one Sat or Sun availability per week)
